KENAZ Verrat || betrayal
Wenn Ingwaz das Feuer der Inspiration verkörpert, steht die Verräterrune für das reinigende Feuer der Erkenntnis. Kenaz meint das Licht nach dem Dunkel, wenn man nach Verrat oder Fehltritt mit Klarheit erkennt, wovon man sich trennen muß. In jedem Falle leitet sie uns, das eigene Denken und Handeln zu prüfen oder das anderer aufzuklären und sich wenn auch unter Schmerzen von falschen Freunden und Ideen oder sogar einem Fluch zu befreien.
Ingwaz is a sign for the fire of inspiration, but the traitor rune means s different sort of flames: The purifying fire of knowledge. Kenaz means the light after dark, when after betrayal or misstep you can see clearly what you have to part with. Anyway, it reminds us to examine our own thoughts and actions or to clarify those of others and to free ourselves from false friends and ideas or even a curse, even if it means pain.
